It is always extremely important to understand the risks involved when doing a permanent procedure. We encourage all our clients to educate yourself before a procedure by carefully reading and applying both the pre procedure and aftercare DO’s and DONT’S.

Please read the instructions below prior to any permanent make-up procedure, this also includes corrective camouflage.

  • All permanent make-up procedures are multi appointment procedures. You will need 2 sessions, 8 – 12 weeks apart, and then a colour boost every 12 – 24 months depending on the technique used. Please remember the treatment is not considered complete if there was no follow-up session done, in the specific time period.
  • Permanent Make-up is not a science, it’s an art and an adjustment of colour or shape that might berequired. PLEASE NOTE: The follow up procedures are not included in the first procedures price.
  • When your procedure is completed the colour will be intense and very dark. It will take 3-5 days for this colour to settle and heal in the skin allowing a soft natural colour to emerge.
  • Lip application will be extremely dark and then flake or scab to almost invisible. Allow at least 21 –28 days to determine the amount of colour retained. Due to the nature of the mucous membrane the colour will always have a subtle end result. Very deep, dark colours are almost impossible to achieve.

Please inform your permanent make-up artist BEFORE you finalize and confirm your appointment if you ever had permanent make-up done with another artist.

The treated area will become red and inflamed, so it is advised not to make any social engagements for a few days.

On the day of the procedure please wear makeup and bring your eyebrow pencil for colour matching.

Please do not wear contact lenses during or directly after the procedure until swelling has completely subsided. Remember to bring your glasses. This is only for EYELINER procedures.

If you have a history of cold sores or fever blisters, it is recommended to visit your GP prior to any lip procedures to prescribe oral medication. Failure to do so may lead into a herpes simplex virus and can interfere and destroy the permanent make-up results.

If you have an extremely oily skin the Microblading technique will not work well for you, The constant production of oil will cause the hair strokes to heal with a diffused, softer look. That will cause your healed result powderier than desired.

Before and After photos will be taken for our records only and will not be published without clients written consent.

Sensitivity of the application is greatly increased if a client is pre-menstrual.

Please inform your permanent make-up artist if you are using any form of blood thinning medication.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: No prescribed medication should be discontinued without permission of your doctor. If ensure please feel free to contact Carla before the appointment.

When attending your consultation/procedure, your technician will discuss the different eyebrow techniques and in which manner the design and colour suite you. You may choose from simulating hair strokes (Microblading) or having a powdered shaded eyebrow behind the brow (Shading) and then we have a more gradient design where the brows start with a lighter shade and gradually darkens at the tails of the eyebrow (Ombre’ Eyebrows).

An anesthetic will be applied to help with any discomfort that may occur. The eyebrow shape will be drawn into the client’s specification together with the technician’s experience and advice. The different types of colours that the technician will use will be communicated to the client so that preferences are met, this will all be chosen by the clients skin type and tone. Before the technician starts with the actual procedure, the client will get the opportunity to approve the design.

As soon as the procedure is done the client will be given an aftercare regime and an ointment. Normally any permanent make-up procedure that is done will be very dark and prominent within the first 3-5 days of it being done. As it heals it will lighten to a beautiful natural looking colour giving you the freedom to do activities without having to worry about your make-up.

A follow up appointment will be booked for 8-12 weeks to access the healing and perfect the design.

Eyeliner can be applied in many different ways including different colours and styles. Together with your technician a choice will be made on which style, technique and colour will best suite your features and age group. Eyeliner can be applied on the upper and lower lid in any style of your choice. Having the upper lid done will lift the eye making it appear larger and more defined.

The procedure will start after consulting with your technician. A pre-procedure anesthetic will be applied which has proven to be very effective in reducing any discomfort. As soon as the procedure is done the client will be given an aftercare regime and an ointment will be applied to help with the healing process. Normally any permanent make-up procedure that is done will be very dark and prominent within the first 3-5 days of it being done. As it heals it will lighten to a beautiful natural looking eyeliner.

A follow up appointment will be booked 8-12 weeks to access the healing and the perfect design.

Full lip colour can be applied in either a natural hue or a more vivid one. Your technician will help you choose the correct colour that best suits your individual preference. You can wear your permanent lip colour alone in a natural tone or apply different shades of lipstick over your permanent lip colour for those occasions when you prefer a more dramatic look.

Sometimes lip liner alone can look artificial. If the colour complements your skin tone or you really like the look of a definitive line around the lips, then lip liner may be a good choice for you. If your choice of colour contrasts with your skin tone, a full lip colour procedure is a better choice. Remember, small lips will only look smaller with a defining lip liner so a full lip procedure is recommended in this case as well. You will find that the colour will last much longer when applied over permanent cosmetic lip colour than it did to a bare lip.

The colouring and shape of the natural lip is unpredictable, therefore it is common for a technician to request a consultation before an appointment for the actual procedure is scheduled. At the consultation, your colour and shape objectives and probability of success with permanent cosmetic pigments and techniques will be discussed.

Typically before scheduling an appointment you will be asked if you have ever had a cold sore or fever blister before on your lips. If you are prone to these conditions we will provide you with the necessary medication, which you will need to consume within 5days prior to your appointment.

If you and the consulting technician have agreed to go forward and schedule an appointment, the technician may suggest that the timing does not coincide with any important events. Lips appear very vibrant for a few days after the initial procedure and dryness associated with the healing process requires the application of a moisturizing product.

In booking your appointment you will be asked to choose between a topical pre-procedure anaesthetic and receiving an oral nerve block which will numb the entire lip for approximately 3hours. A lip liner will be drawn on by the technician before the permanent cosmetic lip colouring will proceed. The work table will be assembled with one-time-use accessories, a sterilized needle will be opened, the needle assembled into the device and the procedure begins. Immediately after the permanent cosmetic procedure the colour will appear very vibrant. Within a few days the outer layer of the permanent makeup will exfoliate. Many times this exfoliation process is inconsistent within the lips. It is important not to disturb the on-going exfoliation process by picking at portions of the lip that have not begun this process. After approximately a week, the majority of the residual lip tattooing has exfoliated off the entire lip area. The lips are somewhat tender and often remain that way to the touch for several weeks. This is why it is recommended to wait a minimum of six to eight weeks before the follow up procedure. Within this waiting period the lips will appear different. They may take on a “frosty” appearance for a few days off and on. They may appear more vibrant if the body is unusually warm (as an example after a warm shower.) Conversely they may appear duller if the body is unusually cool (as an example if you live in an area that has a cold climate ) Within the six-eight week period the lip colour settles in and the colour seen is the final colour resulting from the permanent makeup process. When you return to your technician for the follow up appointment the appearance of the colour and design will be discussed and adjustments made as appropriate.

A follow up appointment will be booked for 8-12 weeks and you will receive an aftercare regimen.
