About Carla Becker
Welcome to my world of Permanent Make-Up, my absolute passion. My name is Carla Becker, I started my permanent make-up career in 2012. At the time I was still studying Somatology at Isa Carstens Academy in Stellenbosch, I completed my diploma in 2014, with CIDESCO and SAAHSP. I did my first permanent make-up course in Embroidery, Rotary and Digital machine work at Lasting Impressions, in Pretoria. My mother and role model are still the owner and trainer at the facility. I learnt a lot from her over the past few years and today we are still learning from each other and share the same passion. That’s were I fell in love with permanent make-up. The first few years of my new small business was challenging as I was still very young, today 7 years later I am 26 and the proud owner of Permanent Make-Up by Carla Becker. My main goal is to provide the highest quality of permanent make-up possible; I also believe that my work is an art, it’s my signature and my style.
I am a member of PCASA (Permanent Cosmetic Association of South Africa) and had a seat as board member in 2015 and 2016. I completed my certificate in Bloodborne pathogens and keep it up to date to maintain high standards of safety and hygiene.
I am committed to always stay up to date with new techniques and products, training is a key investment in my business, I also try to attend international conferences once a year. In 2018 I attended the SPCP conference in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA as well as the Worldwide Eyebrow Festival 2019, in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.
Permanent Make-up is not just my work, its such a great blessing, to practice something I love!
“My work, is my joy.” – Isa Carstens
